Just another random pic I drew and colored of Trance showing off with his magic a little. This is very small compared to what he can really do.
Most of it was spontaneously decided when I got to that part. (pose,background etc.)

It's hard to tell in this pic, but his ice has a blue tinge to it.

Figure I can put some facts about his kind of magic with this one. ^^
The magic of Cephorim (Trance's home world) is categorized into eight elemental groups which can be further sub-categorized into small groups within each element. The sub-categories are the different forms of each element (ie, water, ice, steam, etc.) and most people are usually only strong in one or two of them. Being able to control everything within your element marks them as a strong mage.
In order to prevent accidental catastrophes, the magic goes dormant when the person is sleeping; they are only able to access it when they are fully conscious. However, through special training some are able to use their magic in a semi-conscious state.
The magic doesn't have a separate source of energy like mana that it pulls from. A persons stamina, which is what they use to do everything else, is the same source of energy for magic. So, when a person overuses their magic, it's just like they're running a marathon and they can keep going until they eventually pass out.
Almost all magic users are unable to control the elements that make up/are inside all living creatures. The only exceptions are those who can heal, and they are pretty rare.

I'll also drop a little hint about that secret of his since most of you are probably wondering about it. ^_^
Not only is Trance a healer, he was also trained to be able to use his magic in a semi-conscious state the same time he was being taught martial arts (Aikido).

Anywho, good luck with that hint, I might drop more hints with pictures or artist's comments such as this.

If anyone wants to note me any theories or guesses they have please do, I think it's fun. I'll even start a journal to post some of the common ideas and mention what's correct about them.
