TC: Airius Royalty

For those of you who don't know already, Trance's application only has his last name that he got from his dad. His full name is Trance Airius Clemins and he's the second prince of Airius. His uncle is the King and his cousin, although younger, is the first prince.

On Cephorim there are 5 major nations and the name of the capitol cities of each nation are the same as the royal families last name. That's why Trance has 'Airius' in his name.
Out of the 5 nations the Aquatic nation of Airius is the most powerful in the world with her king ranked first as the most powerful man. The royal family are also the only ones with blue hair and grey eyes and so it's very easy to pick them out of a crowd.

So, from left to right the current, living royal family is:
1. King Ourin Airius
A widower and a real pain in the butt for his chancellor and fellow subjects, Ourin was appointed king at an unusually young age because of the sudden death of his parents. While his methods are usually seen as ludicrous, he's somehow managed to keep the world wide peace that has lasted for almost a millennium even after wide spread, unexplained disasters threatened to disrupt the relations between the nations. A born ruler, Ourin is completely comfortable with the popularity he's gained but never lets it go to his head and is often seen spending time with the citizens instead of warming his throne. He knows most of the inhabitants by name and while he is ranked 1st in power he's had enough close calls to remain wary and alert.
Fun fact, Ourin likes to appear intimidating to those who are meeting him for the first time because he knows about most of the rumors that have spread about him which are completely blown out of proportion. He's actually very easy-going though and it'll take a lot to annoy him.

2. First Prince Maurisen Airius
Usually going by just 'Mauris', the first prince takes after his dad quite a bit in independence and stubbornness. While he can understand the common language (Mourimian) pretty well, he refuses to learn to speak it. His teachers keep trying to come up with reasons for him to learn to, but he always seems to have a rebuttal for them and they haven't made any progress yet. Consequently, anytime he does speak Mourimian he has a thick accent and uses the bare minimum amount of words he can to get his point across or simply gets someone else to translate for him. Because he lost his mom before he was 2, he's developed a stronger attachment to his dad and often will follow him around and hold his hand when he's not in the way. Other than that he's pretty normal for a prince, well behaved and learning to be a great leader like his dad. Mauris is also learning the same defensive martial arts as Trance and the rest of the royal family know (Aikido) and because he knows they need to learn it well to protect themselves he often will greet Trance by trying to pin him instead of saying 'Hello'. So far he hasn't succeeded. Other than that he's pretty normal for a prince, well behaved and learning to be a great leader like his dad.
Mauris isn't actually very fond of really sweet things and loves to tease Trance about his love for cream foods. However, cinnamon raisin bread will get the same reaction out of Mauris that cream gets from Trance.

3. Second Prince Trance Airius Celmins
As the second prince and also because of a sudden increase in assassination attempts, Trance was kept a secret from the Airiusian population in order to protect him and prevent any uprisings that might occur from outside the nation to put him as the next king instead of any children Ourin would have. Because of this his parents were able to travel as common civilians instead of royalty, but they also weren't able to send out public search parties when Trance went missing at the age of 3. However, no one is ever able to keep things a complete secret and there is currently an old rumor around the city of a 'Lost Prince', but as of yet it still hasn't been made public that Lenma had any children and therefore only those who work closely to Ourin know about him. Because he was raised as a servant, Trance is completely uncomfortable with being a prince and everything that goes with it. He really dislikes wearing anything that expensive and gets extremely fidgety and shy when anyone points out his hair color or sees his aquatic form. When he was first brought back into the royal life he was so unusual for what people expected from a prince that the guards and teachers had a hard time interacting with him. They were accustomed to having to wake the prince up for breakfast, bribing him to pay attention to lessons and having to take frequent breaks in order for his highness to run around and 'get the wiggles out'. However, Trance has always been a quiet and meek person and at the age of 12 he behaved almost like an adult already. Waking up at the same time as the servants, he always dressed himself in nice day clothes before breakfast, kept his room perfectly clean, could sit still patiently for hours on end, and would bow to everyone no matter their position of work. Because of the stark difference in personality the staff had a hard time adjusting to him and while they thought they were being polite and proper, the lack of joking around and loud, teasing nature of the people around him made Trance feel he was always doing something wrong and he grew horribly upset and depressed. After only a few months his parents ended up moving back with him to Earl Groam's manor and began to bring him into his other life much more slowly. At the present time Trance has gotten more used to the customs of Airius and he and the inhabitants understand each other much better. While he still doesn't like to be spoiled or have so many people looking after him, the staff members have come to adore him so much that they often unconsciously can't help but spoil him. They've gotten accustomed to each other enough that Trance no longer feels uncomfortable at the palace, but he still doesn't like wearing anything expensive, especially crowns.
While Trance usually freezes up and can't think when put directly into a leadership position, his relatives have found that he takes after his dad quite a bit and actually is becoming an invaluable 'second in command'. He is quite intelligent and often can point out critical things that others have missed (though he'll never admit that he's of any real help and insists that he'd be content just bringing someone lunch.)
As the only healer in the family, Trance has the rank of being the 2nd most powerful person but he's ranked 1st in the most dangerous.

4. Princess Lenma Airius
Younger sister to Ourin and mother of Trance, Lenma somehow manages to be described as quiet and energetic at the same time. Having never been allowed to do small tasks like the servants, she loves cooking as a hobby but doesn't actually want to be professional at it. It's just something she can do for her family. Having the same strong and stubborn personality as her brother, she would never let anyone even suggest that they might not see Trance again after he went missing. After Ourin's wife passed away, Lenma stepped in to help Ourin take care of Mauris along with her other duties as a royal assistant. As a mother to Trance, she's always willing to cuddle and spoil him, but she knows he's quite independent already and will often let him do his own thing. She still loves to give him random hugs and kisses for no reason other than she wanted to though.
Although she's usually very gentle, Lenma is ranked 4th and is also know for mixing water with sharp flecks of ice, giving it a liquid crystal appearance.

5. Prince Mathias Clemins
Related to the royal family through his marriage to Lenma, Mathias is the only one without the hereditary blue hair and grey eyes. A soft spoken man, Mathias is generally very quiet and completely content to be in the background watching. Usually Mathias works as Ourin's main assistant and is really good at analysis and factual data. While he loves his family dearly, he isn't comfortable with being surrounded by a large amount of people so there is a definite difference in the way he feels around different people, though he's really good at letting things go like Ourin, Mathias doesn't bring a lot of people close to himself or let acquaintances know his worries. Some people do have a personality that he has come to trust and are let in very easily though. When Trance disappeared, Mathias didn't have the chance to be needed as a father like Lenma was needed as a mother for Mauris. Because of this he has developed a bit of an aversion to children, liking to watch them and not minding them around, but becoming extremely uncomfortable when he has to interact with them. He feels guilty that he wasn't able to be there for Trance when he was a child and is reluctant to give other children what he wasn't able to give his own son.
As the 3rd ranked man in the world, Mathias has actually earned the nickname 'Ghost' from his fighting style. Mostly it's because people say they would rather fight a ghost than him.
